Surgical Dentures

Surgical dentures, sometimes known as immediate dentures, are inserted following extraction of natural teeth. This will prevent clients from being without teeth for an extended period of time.

We take the time and care to discuss any changes you request during the tooth selection process. This method allows for:

N

Easier transition from having full, natural teeth into a set of dentures

N

Close space between teeth

N

Choose a whiter shade

N

Characterize teeth for a more natural and aesthetic looking denture

N

Straighten teeth to give the client the smile they have always wanted

It is important to understand that there will be an adjustment period to adapt to having dentures and learning how to function with them. Dentures are prosthetics and you’ll require time, practice, and patience as you gain confidence with them. Things to expect can be initial speech complications, learning how to chew again, and a decrease in taste.

Dentures are maintained by adjusting them to compensate for bone change/recovery during the first 10-12 months post surgery. Temporary liners are provided and included in the initial cost. A permanent reline is recommended at 12 months and a fee for that service is charged upon completion.
